Music...songs...tracks... that kinda stuff

Ok, here are the songs I haven't been able to stop listening to for the last week or so. Some of them are driving me crazy in a hate/love kinda way that I enjoy. ...which is rather scary, because it's implying that I like hate/love relationships? which I don't! Oh no!!
Anyways, time for the music now, I suppose. The point of this post was not to inform everyone of how crazy I really am. That's for a later time and date.

Jared Lee "Away"

I seriously love this song. One listen was all it took for me to get caught up in the sad melody and lyrics. I'll definitely be bringing this one out when I'm having one of those days where all I wanna do is cry.

LJ "Atmosphere"

This is just a really cute, sweet love song. It keeps me feeling good and leaves a smile on my face.

Listen/download.
Brandy "This Must Be Love"

An unreleased, beautiful love song by Brandy. I am so looking forward to her new album.

Listen/download.
Banky W. "Could Have Been"

His voice is very nice, and the lyrics are awesome. It's just another one of those sad love songs that I just can't help but love. I like the entire first verse the best, lyrically

Listen/download.
Shamar Woods "Sweet Love"

Gah, now this song is sweet! aww! I absolutely love the lyrics lol. The music samples Force M. D's "Tender Love." The track features MR. Cheeks but if you ask me that part is borring. This song doesnt' need any rap IMO.
It's extremely hard to choose my fave lyrics in this one...I love them all. But I'm gonna have to say the chorus is what really does it for me.

J. Ro. "My Love"

Just another incredibly sweet song! This is more about unconditional love, and just being a friend to somebody...
Fave lyrics: "I'm smilin' for you just to keep you from cryin'." AWW!

Listen/download.
Basshunter "Now You're Gone"

Ok, so this isn't normally my type of music but I like this song! It's fun, and catchy.
And I like it a little more because of what happened recently to me.
Basically, I was singing it while on the phone to someone, then stopped myself and said, 'aahh that song is in my head...' Then suddenly they were like, 'that one?' I listened out and they were playing it so I said yes. Then I heard a scream, 'OMG I just turned on the radio!!!' And we were totally freaked out about that lol. I thought it was a CD cuz of the timing, but no, the radio. So wierd, I mention a song, the person I'm talking to turns on their radio and there it is. Haha, I love crazy little things like that.

And I think I'll end this post on that strange note...Mainly because, well, I love ending on strange notes.

Music

Ashanti "The Way That I Love You"

Ashanti's fourth album, The Declaration, is set to be released sometime this year. It looks like "The Way That I Love You," is going to be the first single. I'm feelin' it; it's a nice RnB track with some pretty good lyrics and vocals.

Listen/download. Steph Jones "La la Means Love"

Why is it that I seem to like songs produced by The Dream, but only when they're sang by male artists besides him? Lol. It's so wierd! Anyway, this is a good one. He sounds nice and I'm liking the lyrics.

Listen/download. Raheem DeVaughn "Customer"

Just a cool RnB track to chill to, taken from Raheem DeVaughn's latest album, Love Behind the Melody.

Listen/download. Kelly Rowland "Train on a Track"

Just a sweet, cute song about falling in love. It's slightly poppy, but I like it -- there's something about it.

Listen/download. Shades "Serenade"

I posted a cover song by these girls a few days ago. Here's another beautiful love song, probably one of their best.

Listen/download. Carl Thomas "If You Ever"

True love is so rare, and happens when you least expect it. The message here, is if you find it, realize that it maybe your only chance, and don't give it up. As he says, "if you ever find true love, then you should never let it go..." It's a great message, and a great song.

Christina Aguilera Save Me From Myself

I just couldn't help but post about this!
I'm not one to really get into discussions about celeb couples, but this is an exception. I'm just so very happy for them.

As I'm sure most people know, Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman welcomed their first son on saturday at 10:05 P.m. He weighs 6 pounds 2 ounces, and measures 25 inches. I absolutely love the name, Max Liron. Max meaning 'the greatest,' and Liron meaning 'my song.' Therefore, he is her greatest song. So incredibly sweet!
Upon giving birth, she also posted a sweet message on her official site to her fans, as well as a special surprise video containing actual footage from her wedding.

IMO, "Save Me From Myself," is probably the best track on "Back to Basics." The soul in her voice is undeniable, and the lyrics are so heartfelt they almost leave you crying with love. This song is not Christina's usual belting style that most people are used to, instead she shows a different side of her voice. She sings so softly and beautifully that you can just hear the emotion oozing out of her. The raw emotion is what turns this song into perfection.

But if the song doesn't get your tears flowing, the video just might. Watch it here.
Or, to download the video, and read the message to her fans, click here.

As far as I know, this song isn't planned to be released as an official single. but you never know, it may one day be. And in all honesty I'm not sure how well it would actually do, seeing as how most people now days would prefer something to dance to, rather than something meaningful. Oh well, that's the way it goes I guess. For those that can appreciate it, enjoy.

Just some sweet, happy love songs...

So lets see. I haven't posted lately cuz of um...well...let me think...oh that's right, laziness! lol. I know, it is very sad to see that it's taken me this long for my first post of 2008. Oh well...
Aaaaanyway, music time!

This is pretty much a bunch of songs that are good to listen to while thinking of the one you love, or the one you're falling for.

Common "The Light"

It's hip-hop yes, but it's mellow with a bit of an RnB vibe to it, and the lyrics are incredibly sweet. I've loved this song sinse it came out ages ago, and for some reason I haven't been able to stop listening to it lately.
Fave lyric: "My heart's dictionary defines you, it's love and "happiness.

K-ci and Jojo "Tell me It's Real"

Kci and Jojo are known for their awesome RnB ballads. This is another one, about loving someone someone so very much, and just hoping that they feel the same, and that it's actually for real.
Fave lyrics: "I can't explain the way you make me feel, every time that you tell me that you love me."

This lyric isn't amazingly creative, but I love it. When you really love somebody, and they tell you they feel the same, it never gets old, and it's the best feeling in the world. And so, with that lyric, I'm reminded of that blissfull feeling.

Listen/download.
Dave Hollister "Baby Do Those Things"

Omg, I've loved this song from the first time I heard it. I absolutely love how the small things she does are what gets to him the most. I also love that it's between them only, and that nobody but him can understand what she does for him.

I'm not gonna go into fave lyrics as I pretty much love them all, but I will say that the first verse is my favorite part. I love how he's turned on by just the way she btrushes her hair back from her face!
I rate this song a complete 10.

Listen/download.
Stacie Orrico "Take Me Away"

This is a cute song, great if you're just starting to fall for someone. I love singing it.

Listen/download.
Shades "How Deep Is Your Love"

A very sweet song, by an awesome female RnB groupe. Absolutely beautiful harmonies, and lovely lyrics.

Listen/download.
Musiq "Greatestlove"

I really love how he's using music as a metaphor to describe their relationship. The vocals and melody compliment this soulful song well. I definitely rate it a 10.

Listen/download.
SWV "You're Always On My Mind"

For some reason, this song just does something special for me. It is definitely one of my fave SWV tracks. I love the music, the vocals, and melody. It's a nice song to chill to while thinking of that someone who stays on your mind, and makes you feel good.

Ok, I'm done for now. I'll be back to post some more songs one day ... Who knows when, lol. :P
